Essays on the Incarnation for the New Millennium
This collection of essays is for seekers after God, iin the year 2000 - the official two thousandth anniversary of the incarnation. Each essay approaches the mystery of the incarnation along a particular path or through a particular medium of experience: music, art, history/politics, euthanasia and disability, leadership, humility, Eastern Orthodoxy, contemporary cosmology, concepts of God's 'indwelling' and of incarnation itself, the words of children and young people, and a conversation between Christianity and some Asian religious traditions.
The book is a project of the Anglican Task Group 2000, of the Anglican diocese of Brisbane, which was formed in 1997 to help plan and facilitate celebrations of the official two thousandth anniversary of the incarnation.
The contributors to the book represent a variety of Christian traditions: Anglican, Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Greek Orthodox and Uniting Church.
